Many of the CIU SG activities involve regular reporting of information . This page describes the purpose of such reports and provides links to relevant templates. Ad hoc reports are occasionally required - these will be prepared on a case-by-case basis.

WB Mission Reporting Audit Reports

WB Mission Reporting
Purpose:

CIU SG provides a PowerPoint presentation on safeguards matters relating to each Project during WB Missions (usually 6 monthly).

The report is to be prepared at least one day prior to each Mission SG session and is to be shared with the WB Task Team and PIU after presentation.

CIU SG Mission reports cover safeguards activities undertaken for the Project since the previous mission and address one-by-one each safeguards action item identified in the Aide Memoire provided for the previous Mission.

The CIU SG team also has the opportunity to review each draft Aide Memoire before it is finalized and can correct any errors or omissions.

Compliance Reporting
Purpose:

Compliance monitoring of a Contractor Environmental and Social Management Plan (CESMP) for World Bank projects is essential to ensure that the contractor follows the required environmental and social standards throughout the project's lifecycle.

Reporting of results is necessary to provide a record of inspections and a paper trail in the event of a non-compliance with CESMP requirements,
-
Reports are prepared and delivered in accordance with Compliance Monitoring plans prepared for each Project.

Trip Reports
Purpose:

A trip report is prepared following any travel authorized under a “Travel Authorization” or TA issued in respect of work trips in RMI or overseas.

The report is provided to CIU Financial Management Team following each trip, and enables FM to close out the TA.

If a Trip Report is not provided then it will not be possible to get a TA for any future trip.

Audit Reports
Purpose:

A high level Audit is undertaken as part of Compliance Monitoring in relation to a Contractor Environmental and Social Management Plan (CESMP).

Reporting of high level audit findings provides an overview of how Conractors generally comply with obligations set out in the CESMP.

6 Monthly Reports for PIU
Purpose:

CIU SG is often requested to provide inputs to Project 6 Monthly reports.

These inputs are intended to be a factual summary of work the CIU SG Team members have conducted on the Project during the 6 months period covered by the report.

In simple terms this can be largely a cut and paste from detailed timesheets prepared by invidual CIU SG members (see link – to come).
